In a distant future, Earth is no longer dominated by humans but by an evolved, interconnected plant species. These plants have developed a complex, shared consciousness—an organic network where each individual plant acts as a neuron, collectively forming a vast, communal brain. This network operates through a glowing fungal web, binding every tree, flower, and shrub into one sentient entity.
You are the last remaining human, awakening in the heart of a giant, luminescent flower. It’s a quiet, dark night, and as your eyes adjust, you see that the plants around you are unlike any you’ve known. The trees and flowers have a crystalline, translucent quality, their surfaces pulsing softly with light. They’re all linked by shimmering strands of bioluminescent fungi that weave through the landscape, serving as conduits for their shared consciousness.
The collective mind—the central brain of this plant-fungal network—senses your presence and reaches out. It beckons you to journey to the core of its neural network, where it has something to reveal to you.
